Built on Decades of Hustle
Po Man Records didn't start with a pitch deck or a VC check. It started with a kid singing at age seven, opening for The Gap Band and Charlie Wilson in 1985, cutting records with Columbia Records artists by '95.
Ronald Thompson Sr., known as RT Da Quiet One, built a full-service label from the ground up in Tampa, Florida. Studio sessions. Artist development. Beats. Bookings. Gospel at the core, but genre lines were never barriers.
Now the industry is shifting. Streaming is up. Distribution is democratized. Gospel music is the 4th fastest-growing genre in America. The back office needs to keep up with the music.
